missed the flight, so after a little while in milan i took a train to Verona (northern italy) and hung out there for the day until my overnight train to munich. in munich i met up with a friend living there that i had stayed with through couchsurfing a few years back. met trash talk for some fun shows... said goodbye in northern switzerland and crashed at a guys place in zurich (he books a lot of the hardcore / punk shows in the city). spent most of the next day hitchhiking home, going south is a lot harder than going north so it took me a while...

there is a tunnel type area through a building that leads to the courtyard of the Capulet's house (one of the two families in Romeo and Juliet). the walls in the tunnel are covered in love notes.

her balcony (there may be some dispute over the balcony scene's accuracy; however, this is the actual Capulet house that dates back to the 13th century)

one of the venues used the buildings bomb shelter as a "back stage" for the bands
