Landscape / Cityscape

i know its not the most interesting way to present all the africa stuff but if i catheterize it like this in bulk its way easier to manage. i'll save the best for last- wildlife and locals...

heres a teaser:

morning shower

haha. they use the namibian dollar there. after a few drinks waiting for our plane someone tried to see if they'd except some personally printed money...

its actually a flat valley but the panoramic messes with the landscape

windhoek - capitol city

some town along the way. a pretty common looking neighborhood street

another shower

biggest cacti i've ever seen

you can see how it might earn the name "skeleton coast" theres a lot of these around

rock art. thousands of years old

catching a giraffe

petrified tree that was dropped off along with a lot others in the region about 1 million billion years ago when glaciers were passing across southern africa.

also the plant at the base is from a species that literally lives more 300 years

some water

some water?

a bunch of poo from goats or something- the thing is this was a crevice at the top of a 30 foot rock peak i could barely climb with opposable thumbs

Namibia's nickname is "The Land of Contrast" as you can see
